Hitting the Pause Button

They were just trying to help out. He was sure they were yelling at him. Time to reset!

I used to fly off the handle even more than I do now, and more intensely. Back in 2003, my first service commitment at my home group was buying coffee and supplies. When I bought some discount coffee, I was told by a group member that we normally buy a certain pricier brand. My reaction on the outside was coldly polite. My reaction on the inside was to start arguing in my own defense. Didn’t they understand I was just trying to save the group some money?
