In 2016 I accompanied my friend Elliott on a trip from Northern Virginia to San Diego. He was going there on business, and I was tagging along just to see San Diego. At a meeting one night after we got there, we met a guy named Roger. Roger told us all about AA meetings in San Diego and gave us a warm welcome.
