Drunk and celebrating on the ruins of a Mayan temple, he had no idea his life was crumbling too
About three years before my last drink, I was in Mexico on a commercial diving job. Three of us got a break to go home. The crew boat dropped us off at a port on the eastern shore of Yucatan. We had to drive all the way across country to Merida to catch a plane for the United States. Like all good deep-sea divers, we had to get ready for a road trip. We got a large bag of weed, prescription black beauties (speed) and a case of cold beer and headed off.
