Running into a member of the Fellowship helped him through it

I had started a new job, one that required much more contact with business people and the public than I had experienced in several years. This brought back the feelings of insecurity and not being good enough which I had previously dealt with by drinking alcohol. My co-workers in the office I worked in were going to a local bar/restaurant for a holiday luncheon and I was terrified. How was I going to explain that I didn't drink? Even though I had nearly two years of sobriety at that time, it was still important to me in those days to fit in and be one of the gang.
