Island Adventure

Last September I went to St Martin for vacation. Though I had looked up the AA meetings as soon as I arrived, I was nervous because I would be celebrating my first six months of sobriety far from my home group. The first meeting I attended on the island was held at a Red Cross building. Since I had not rented a car, I took one of the local shuttles and arrived very early. A man who worked there told me that the meeting would be held outside behind the building, which faced the water on the bay, and that the view was beautiful.
