The Minister's Son

A passage from the Big Book had special resonance for this AA

I remember the first time I read page 56 of the Big Book. The "minister's son" showed me for the first time in my life that there was another human being that understood how I felt. I was of the opinion that religious education was something I knew a fair share about and fancied myself the theologian when setting at tavern tables and barstools. Usually my attitude toward the topic of scripture would be rejected by those whom I took as hostages in order to force-feed them a lesson on holiness.
