A newcomer thinks he dodged a bullet on doing service. Think again
When I came into the rooms four and a half years ago, I actually followed suggestions and looked for opportunities to do service. When my Grapevine rep commitment ended, I happened to hear an intergroup rep at a meeting announce that Bridging the Gap (BTG) was looking for volunteers, so I went to the next BTG business meeting. I was 11 months sober.
